[android-developers] Sudden location issues

John, I'm one if those long-time users who started having difficulties after an upgrade. Rooted HTC sensation, custom ROM is the cause, I'm suspecting. It takes ~1 min to get gps locks and, if I'm on WiFi instead of cell network the location thread times out, I believe.

Works fine in a stock ROM, so I'm guessing the problems you're seeing are from devices with shoddy/hackish gps support.
