And for that you can consult the docs.

I can't belive that on a OS defined smart it is not possible to prompt a user with an input without the needs to tap twice on the edittext.

No software is perfect or bug-free. If you can't find an answer and no one else knows about this, you are welcome to look through the source code to see why it behaves as it does and see if that helps you find a work around. Not sure what else to tell you.
