[android-developers] Re: Suspended app

Bryan,

I'm afraid you're the one missing the point. Your app violated numerous terms of the Android Market contract that you agreed to before you ever uploaded a single app to the market. You got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and have been slapped.

Consider yourself lucky you still have an account. Others with similar violations have had their entire portfolio of apps removed from the market and even have had those app yanked from the user's phones.

Don't worry about how many other people are violating their contract with Google. You are, you got caught and now you have to deal with it.

Haven't you ever been given a speeding ticket on an interstate when everyone else was doing 20 mph over the limit? Did you ask the officer "Why did you pull me over when everyone else is speeding?"

Now that Google and Rovio have you in their crosshairs, you'll probably get more of your apps pulled and if you don't act right now to remove EVERY copyright and other terms violation from those products, be prepared to have your account terminated. You're on thin ice and are jumping up and down. Not a smart thing to do.
