Re: [android-developers] Google Maps API Key

Yes. You can regenerate it if you lose it, but it will always stay the same for the same MD5 hash, no matter how many times you generate it.

Thanks

HI guys,

I note this from https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/hello-mapview
Please note that this is only valid while your application is signed with the debug key; once you sign with your private key, you will need a new API key. When you get your key, insert it for the value of android:apiKey.

I only need to generate API key from my private key once right for publication?

Thanks
