[android-developers] Android error and how to create library?

Dear All,

I have downloaded latest android source code on my Mac,

I was trying to configure my eclipse with it and getting following error

Description Resource Path Location Type
The project was not built due to "A resource exists with a different
case: '/myandroid/out/host/common/obj/JAVA_LIBRARIES/dx_intermediates/classes/MANIFEST.mf'.".
Fix the problem, then try refreshing this project and building it
since it may be inconsistent myandroid Unknown Java Problem

Is it related to Java version? Do I need to use 1.5 only?

Secondly, I would like to know if there is any article to build
libraries for Android which would access core functionality of
Android?

Any help would be much appreciated
