Look into BitmapFactory.Options to be used with a BitmapFactory
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/BitmapFactory.Options.html
and specifically the "inSampleSize" options and try to find the
balance between memory usage and image quality.
Small device = small memory = small bitmaps or Dalvik will commit
suicide :D
