Back in May, when the Just In Section was there and also included
newly updated apps, I received somewhere around 36 new installs from
there. This compares to close to 20,000 installs from keyword
search.

Bad assumption? Maybe. Even if you can get traffic for being new, its
only momentary. Many developers gamed the system by submitting 6000
variations of "sexy wallpaper" to be at the top of the just in
category every week.

If you succeed in being noticed as a result of your web marketing
efforts, searches on the exact name of your app have a high conversion
rate.
