[android-developers] Re: Opportunistic Transfer

Does the mobile data connection hold a connection? Or does it only
establish one when it is used? I thought mobile data would be more
battery intensive and only establish connections when it is being used
and then disconnect the connection when it is finished. Unlike Wi-Fi
which I believe always holds a connection.
