Re: [android-developers] Phone does not update an app from google store

Manual Updates are "usually" due to permission changes... When permissions change the user needs to physically agree to the permission changes.

Hello,

I am experiencing a strange issue with one of my customers.  Their Android phone does not download updates from the google play store.

They have PlayStore app configured to "Auto-update apps at any time."  However, even though the new update is online it would not install it for some reason.

I am noticing on my own phone that some applications are not auto-updating either.  I have the same setting "Auto-update apps at any time." set but there are a few apps (YouTube, TeleNav GPS, Expedia app, etc.) that show up under "Manual Updates" in the play store app and would not update automatically.

Do you know what the reason may be?

Thank you.
