[android-developers] Getting user input and turning it into int,double,float

Does anyone know how to get user input for floats,doubles,ints. I have
tried looking everywhere on here and there hasnt been anything that
could help me. All it has is EditText.GetText().toString() very
fustrated that there isnt a tutorial for this.
