[android-developers] Re: Can't get android sources

Hi Trevor,

The reason why I tried to download froyo was due to the issue given
below, when I use Gingerbread from a 32 bit OS.

Checking build tools versions...
build/core/main.mk:72:
************************************************************
build/core/main.mk:73: You are attempting to build on a 32-bit system.
build/core/main.mk:74: Only 64-bit build environments are supported
beyond froyo/2.2.
build/core/main.mk:75:
************************************************************
build/core/main.mk:76: *** stop. Stop.

As per your suggestion, I downloaded froyo-plus-aosp and I get the
very same issue, which I had with Gingerbread.

There were no such issues with Froyo when building from 32 bit OS.
Please let us know the workaround for this and why this issue happens
for froyo-plus-aosp.

I request someone to kindly provide the correct solution for this.
This has been consuming the precious time of most of ours.

Best Regards,
Anees
