There was an issue a while back where the MyLocationOverlay object from the Google Maps API was crashing on a BitmapDrawable call, or something, and it was only on the Cliq. I had to put in a custom MyLocationOveraly specifically for that device so it wouldn't crash.
Tell your user to get a new phone - that ones is garbage.
