[android-developers] Android Controlling Installation of new apps?

i was thinking of building an app that provides some kind of "control"
over installation of apps in a device. the control mechanism is, of
course, meant for the device owner to configure.

to that end, i was wondering if the Android Market app broadcasts any
intent at the point when the user clicks "Install" for a new app? this
intent can be trapped to perform the necessary permission check.
