Way to put the boot in LG.LG have announced (via an official Facebook post) that there will be NO upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich for the LG P990 / Optimus 2X!

While this won't come as much of a surprise for 2X owners who are STILL waiting for the official Gingerbread update, it seems like LG as a company should maybe have a think about why people are abandoning their handsets em masse (http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-20126015-94/lg-swings-to-a-loss-as-tv-phone-sales-slump/). Personally I still think the 2X is a great piece of hardware and ICS support will come from the community, but it's a pretty big kick in the teeth for the early adopters who snapped up the 2X as the first dual core phone on the block (myself included!).
