[android-developers] Re: What are peoples' thoughts on developing for Kindle Fire

From what I understand, the Fire lacks a GPS and has none of the usual Google stuff like maps, C2DM and the market. That makes it pretty much a dead duck in my book.

If Amazon comes around and can make a deal with Google to become a standard device, then things will be different. We won't have to develop for the Fire, it will just be. Personally, I like that better than developing a fork for a single device.
