good question. I try improve the FEZBridge (Connection with FEZ and Android) and there I use the USB connector to handle the connection between the FEZ board and the smartphone. But then I am in the dark, if I try to debug the smartphone. So my idea arose to use the 2nd interface for the adb commands an display the logcat output on the debug-part of the board.
