[android-developers] Generic USB Audio DAC Support in 4.1

Hi,

I'm interested in the new USB audio peripheral support in 4.1.

I would like to utilize this with an existing a USB DAQ which functions with generic linux drivers.

My understanding is that the device must ID itself as 0x2D02. Is it possible to implement an app or driver to circumvent this? Would an Arduino middle-ware be necessary for adapting the communication protocol anyway?

I know this feature has been added by Samsung in the Galaxy S3. Is it possible to port that to CDMA gNex?

Thank you,
Benjamin Oien
