[android-developers] Re: How to control the initial emulator window position under Linux?

I feel your pain. My screen is also not tall enough for the emulator window. However, there's a simple trick that works at least for KDE. Keep <Alt> pressed and drag the window down until the title bar appears. You can click anywhere inside the window. It's just like grabbing the window's title bar.

Quite often when I launch the emulator the window will be placed outside the screen. Mostly the title bar will be located above the top of my screen. In my window manager (sawfish) I can only resize the window when grabbing the sides and bottom. I don't experience this with other applications. In the good old days of the X11 window system most applications would have a "-geometry"  option where one could specify the initial position (and size) of the window. But emulator does not seem to have such an option. So is there a way to control the initial placement of the emulator window?
