Re: [android-developers] hide recent app list / restart own app when others start ? kids lock

My problem: how to stop them from launching other apps from the long-press Home button (or popup list in android 3.x, 4.x).
There is no public API for this

I know quite a few apps out there "blink" for a second when pressing on a different app on the recent list so I know it is possible but I can't figure how they do it :(
Then they are using non-public API's to accomplish this, which is frowned upon

Thanks,
