The Calendar application is not part of the Android SDK. Your
application may break on some devices that have replaced the Calendar.
Your application may break in future versions of Android. You appear
to be already experiencing this.

Hence, my "hint" is: don't integrate with the calendar application,
until such point in time as they provide documented, supported, stable
Intents for doing so.
